BOOK CLUB
Learn, have fun and meet new friends.
Join other inquisitive folks to discuss books on various climate topics. Books on problems will be balanced with books on solutions; other topics will include how to talk to others, climate-friendly gardening, environmental justice, etc.
WHO: Adults and teens
WHEN: Discussions are at 7pm on the first Thursday of odd-numbered months.

WHERE: For now, discussions will continue to be virtual.
BOOKS: See the coming selections here. Members may buy selected books at a 20% discount from Carmichael's Bookstore.

Interested? Please submit our Contact form. Club co-chair Elizabeth Graves will reply promptly.
We're experimenting with a different approach for our next meeting. Each member of the LCAN Book Club will choose three podcasts from the Outrage + Optimism library, listen to them and share their reactions to them.
Who is Outrage and Optimism?
"[O+O] explore[s] the stories behind the headlines on climate change, talking to the change-makers turning challenges into opportunities. [O+O] delight[s] in progress, question greenwash and get to grips with the difficult issues – sharing it all with [its] listeners along the way."
We'll meet virtually on Thursday,
May 2nd at 7pm.
